ROTC receives over $10,000 from SGA

The Jaguar Joggers and Ranger Challenge teams compete against other ROTC programs at other universities across the country in various athletic events, and the Scabbard and Blade is the Army ROTC's honor society. The Airforce ROTC program had also actually applied for and received funding but could not get a definitive amount by the time of publication.
With access to the funds of the largest and richest federal agency in the United States, the ROTC program still applied for and received over $10,023.66 of your tuition money. As a club president, I understand that every organization needs some funds to run, but do organizations that already get plenty of my tax dollars thrown at them every year need to take money away from other student organizations at our university? At a certain point it just becomes greed and nothing more.
According to Sally Cobb, the Dean of Students and the SGA are already checking into whether or not some of these ROTC organizations really should have received the money that they were approved for. If you agree with me and think there is definitely something wrong with this whole situation, I'm sure the SGA representatives and officers, along with our new Dean of Students, would love to hear about that. Assuming that they allow these ROTC programs to continue getting funding, who's in for a College Democrats Honor Society? Or maybe the Feminists for Progress could organize its own sports teams, if the ROTC program got money for theirs, aren't all organizations entitled to the same treatment?
