"Blackout" is honestly one of the few albums released this year that offers a grim hope for what some call the fading pop genre. Her latest single "Gimme More" offers a preview of what we can expect throughout the album, tons of dance beats, catchy hooks and classic Britney Spears' moans and groans. Songs like "Piece of Me" and "Why should I be sad?" expose a lot about what is going on in Spears' life at the moment, from her constant media attention to her latest battle with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. In "Piece of Me," she taunts the paparazzi about how they find so much negativity in her everyday happenings because that's how they want to see it. "Break the Ice," which is going to be released at her second single, has the sexy dance vibe, and "Toy Soldier" and "Hot as Ice" are sure to be hot dance tunes in clubs soon. Britney uses "Hot as Ice" to remind us that even after her four year break she's, "new and improved … and a living legend that you can look at but don't touch."
If you are honestly looking for an album that from start to end you are sure to be dancing to nonstop, "Blackout" not only delivers, it reminds us what has been missing from the music scene for some time now -- producing at its best with Britney's vocals tuned to it.
