The Mobile Symphony will be continuing their Pops Series with their "Halloween Pops" on Oct. 20. Conducted by Scott Speck, this production will feature magically spooky tunes from some of your favorite Halloween movies.
This show will feature songs from "The Phantom of the Opera." As we all know, "The Phantom of the Opera" is the story of a disfigured musical genius and his infatuation with a young protégé. As described on the Internet Movie Database, the protégé's Angel of Music's "rapturous voice sings songs in her head while she sleeps and whispers in her ear during the day." These chilling sounds will be heard during the Symphony's performance, along with music from "Spiderman."
Also, the audience will be enraptured with the mystical sounds from the creation of Frankenstein's monster's companion with music from "The Bride of Frankenstein." The Symphony will also perform the famous "Imperial March" from "Star Wars," as well as the "Superman March." Finally, the audience will have the opportunity to experience a little magic as the Symphony performs the "Harry Potter symphonic Suite."
Parents are encouraged to bring their children dressed in full Halloween costume. There will be awards given for the most creative costume.
