Oxford Piano Trio gives guest show

On Oct. 14 at 3 p.m., the University of South Alabama music department has the
honor of hosting special guests from the
University of Mississippi's music department
- the Oxford Piano Trio.
The Trio includes Ole Miss faculty members
Stacy Rodgers on piano, Robert Riggs
on violin and Susan Gaston on cello. The
trio was founded in 1988. Since then, it has
become an integral part of the Mississippi
Arts Commission's Touring Artists roster and
has performed in Germany, Canada and the
Southeastern United States.
The show will include a performance of
Hummel's "Trio in E-flat Major," the "Saint-
Saens Trio in F major" and contemporary
composer Bright Sheng's "Four Movements
for Piano Trio." Admission is free and open
to the public. For more information about
