Orange Beach Public Library to host informative lecture for future writers

titled "Writers, Editors, Publishers, Oh
My!" on Oct. 11 from 5:30 - 7:45 p.m.
Guest speaker Jim Gilbert, editor-in-chief
for River City Publishing, will be giving a
lecture on how to get works published, as
well as the writing process in general.
According to the Orange Beach Public
Library Web site, Jim Gilbert's writing has
appeared in "Stories from the Blue Moon
Café," an anthology of Southern writers.
He is a local bookstore clerk who obviously
has the talent to become a published
writer. He's a refreshing voice in the new
South and has recently been recognized for
his talent.
Gilbert plans to discuss the actions and
steps to take towards publishing a piece of
work, as well as discuss the resources for
locating publishers, editors and agents. To
