Everyone makes promises during their campaigns, and it’s not often those promises are kept. Michael Baldwin acknowledges that he has not fulfilled all the promises he made while running as a reform candidate for SGA treasurer. During his campaign he made two big promises: create a student union and put 100 percent of his treasurer pay back into student organizations.
Nearly three months after the incident, USA Police have arrested three suspects in the Nov. 7 Beta 2 robbery, USA Chief of Police Normand Gamache said. Jamie Devon Johnson, 19, and two minors, both of them 17, were charged with first degree robbery in connection with the incident.

The Office of International Services will hold its annual Spring Festival April 8-9. The festival will highlight the different cultures and traditions of USA’s international students. The African, Latin American, Nepali, Saudi Arabian, Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Associations will each take part in the two-day event, which will take place at the Student Center and the Mitchell Center.

On March 1, SGA Treasurer Michael Baldwin updated his Facebook status. “People who think the treasurer is ‘mostly done’ after the budget meetings should read the minutes from tonight’s and last week’s meetings,” he wrote.
Alumnus Pledges $25,000 Gift to Shelby Hall Neil Henderson, who earned his master’s degree in Computer Science from USA in 1990, will have a laboratory in the new Shelby Hall named in honor of his $25,000 gift. “There have been few relationships in my professional life that have been more rewarding to me than that with the University of South Alabama,” Henderson said in a press release.
